Joseph Cadorin had himself a night, scoring the first three goals of the game to reach 12 on the season and propel the Panthers three points clear of Lindsay in the fight for the final playoff spot in the East Conference.

Pickering treated this like a playoff game and played that way, jumping out to a 4-0 lead on Joey Zhang’s goal (15th) near the end of the second period. Cadorin and Bowditch assisted on the goal.

Lindsay cut the lead to 4-1 with a late second-period goal (Laroda, 19:55) and then struck again in the third (Galeazza, 9:28) to tighten the game. However, the Panthers shut them down after that, and Joey Crngarov (9th) sealed the win with an unassisted empty-net goal at 19:50.

Ian Michelone was again solid in net, turning aside 27 shots and recording his 13th win of the season.

Pickering is on the road again this Sunday to take on the Wellington Dukes at 2:30 PM.
