Coaching Staff – Head Coach
The Pickering Panthers Hockey Club are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Coach to lead the team for the upcoming Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) season.
This is an opportunity to work within a competitive junior hockey environment focused on player development, team success, and advancement to higher levels of hockey.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all on-ice and behind-the-bench activities during games
- Plan and execute team practices and development sessions
- Develop and implement team systems and structure
- Work closely with the General Manager on roster decisions and player personnel
- Foster a strong team culture focused on accountability, discipline, and growth
- Support player advancement to collegiate and higher levels
- Communicate effectively with players, staff, and management
Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience at the junior, collegiate, or high-performance level preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to develop players both individually and within a team structure
- Knowledge of modern hockey systems and game management
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Assets
- Prior experience in the OJHL or comparable junior leagues
- Background in player development or skill coaching
- Existing network within junior, collegiate, or scouting communities

Work Format: In Person – Perform at Pickering Panthers Home Games, Chestnut Hill Developments Complex, Pickering ON, 1867 Valley Farm Rd.
About the Role:
The Pickering Panthers are seeking enthusiastic individuals and groups to perform the national anthem at home games throughout the season. This is an excellent opportunity for soloists, duets, school choirs, and community groups to showcase their talent in front of a live audience while contributing to the Panthers’ game day experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform the national anthem live before puck drop at a designated home game

Represent the Panthers with professionalism and enthusiasm

Coordinate with game day staff for timing, microphone setup, and performance cues

Engage the crowd and create a memorable pre-game moment
Qualifications:

Confidence in singing the national anthem (solo or group performance)

Prior performance experience (choir, band, school, community events) preferred but not required

Reliable and punctual for scheduled game appearances

Role Summary:
Game Day Support Staff play a key behind-the-scenes role in ensuring everything runs smoothly on game night. From setup to teardown, you’ll help create a seamless fan experience. Great for students or volunteers looking to gain event experience in a high-energy sports environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with setup and takedown of signage, tables, and promotional areas
- Provide support to operations manager and game day team
- Help direct fans and deliver items as needed between benches and staff
- Support merchandise sales, box office, or sponsor areas as required
Qualifications:
- Friendly, reliable, and proactive
- Willingness to pitch in wherever needed
- Able to work on your feet for several hours
- Available for most home games
Position: Ushers
Commitment:Â Part-Time, Volunteer/Placement

Role Summary:
Ushers are the first point of contact for Panthers fans. You’ll assist with ticket scanning, seating help, and ensure a welcoming, safe environment throughout the game. A perfect fit for those who enjoy working with people and being part of a game night team.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and direct fans as they arrive
- Check tickets and assist with seating
- Monitor crowd flow and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Assist with fan inquiries and special accommodations
Qualifications:
- Customer-service oriented and approachable
- Dependable and punctual
- Comfortable standing for extended periods
- Enjoy working in a team during live events
