FRIDAY DEC 1 – PICKERING 5 NORTH YORK 1
When you’re hot, you’re hot and Ben Pickell is on fire! Pickell added two more tonight against the Rangers (his 7th in the last 5 games) as the Panthers put on a strong performance in defeating the Rangers 5-1. Pickell opened the scoring on a first period power play, followed by Owen Dunning. Pickering controlled the second period as Pickell, Kieran Litterick and Nick Athanasakos (PP) each added singles. Pickering got a little defensive in the middle of the third, and unfortunately, North York managed to break Glen McInnes’ shutout.
The Rangers were outshot 48-39 and Glen McInnes was outstanding in the Panther net making 38 saves.
