WEDNESDAY DEC 6 – PICKERING 5  GEORGETOWN 2

Another big win for the Cats tonight as they continued their successful road trip in Georgetown. Jamie Darlison started things off two minutes into the game banging in a rebound and Kieran Litterick put the Panthers up 2-0 shortly after. Georgetown got one back later in the period and with no scoring in the second, Pickering led 2-1 going into the third. Twenty ones were lucky for Nick Athanasakos, as he got his 21st goal (PP) on a beautiful drag and shot from the slot 21 seconds into the third period.

No more scoring until later in the period when Dawson Hettiarachchi scored into an empty Raider net with three minutes remaining. Georgetown got one back but Andre Mondoux finished it off with another empty netter, his first goal as a Panther. The story of the game, however, was the solid play of Ethan Beattie in net. Beattie turned aside 42 shots in securing his 6th win of the season. Pickering is now 8W-2L-2OTL in their last 12 games and pushing for a playoff spot.
