It was a late morning bus ride to Minden for the Cats to face the Haliburton County Huskies. Drew McLennan scored his third of the season late in the first to make it a 1-1 tie at the intermission even though the Panthers were outshot 21-6. Haliburton got a PP goal early in the second that proved to be the winner, as they added another before the end of the period and one more in the third for the 4-1 victory. Gavin Betts made 44 saves in net as Pickering was badly outshot 48-25.
