SUNDAY JAN 14 – PICKERING 5 ST NORTH YORK 2

The Panthers took their time getting started in this one as the Rangers banged in a rebound just over a minute into the game for an early lead. Pickering could easily have been down three or four goals early had it not been for the work of Ethan Beattie in the Panther net. Pickering got going approaching the mid-point of the first with a number of the newcomers contributing to the scoring. Joseph Colangelo showed great hand eye coordination as he banged in a waist high pass to get Pickering on the board.   Noah Smith and Zach Mascard added two more and Andre Mondoux added another to make it 4-1 Panthers after one. For Mondoux, it was his 4th of the season and his third in the past three games.

The second period was scoreless and the teams traded goals in the third. Joeseph Colangelo made no mistake on a breakaway to fire it top shelf and collect his second of the game. Ethan Beattie got his 8th win of the season making 40 saves in the Panther net.
