SUNDAY JAN 28 – MILTON 6 PICKERING 3
Playing their first home game in the past three weeks, the Panthers hosted the Milton Menace who hold on to second place in the Western Conference, 27 points above Pickering. The Panthers held their own until the middle of the game with the score 2-2 on goals by Zennon Edwards and Jason Zhou, but Milton scored a PP goal and one more before the second period ended to take a 4-2 lead.
Pickering seemed to get stuck in their own end for long periods in the third and nothing good comes of that. Sure enough, the Menace scored two more, one on the PP, for a 6-2 lead. Zennon Edwards got a PP goal back for the Panthers, his second goal of the night and fourth in the past two games. Ethan Beattie made some outstanding saves throughout the game for the Panthers, making 27 saves.
