A disastrous first period did the Panthers in and they just couldn’t recover as the Spirit jumped ahead 4-0. It was like a shooting gallery and double minor penalties about 10 seconds apart midway through the period didn’t help. The Cats woke up in the second and stayed with Stouffville in both the second and third periods, but it was too late by then. Nick Athanasakos, Ben Pickell and Jamie Darlison provided the Panther goals and Aidan Feddema made 41 saves in net. Pickering gets a chance for revenge next week as they travel to Stouffville.
