As in their previous game against the Royals, Pickering jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals from Dawson Hettiarachchi and returnee Ben Pickell. Hunter Svicki added one on the PP and Pickering led led 3-2 at the first intermission. Pickell got another in the second but that was it for the Panthers as the Royals won 8-4. Glenn McInnes went all the way in net in this one making 25 saves
