The Pickering Panthers bolstered their blue line with a veteran presence last Friday, acquiring 2006 born Ronan Campbell from the Niagara Falls Canucks in exchange for a Player Development Fee.
The 20 year old blue liner from Bowmanville, Ontario that measures in at 6’1 190 pounds, was drafted in the 7th round of the 2022 OHL Priority Selection by the Owen Sound Attack. He has spent the past two seasons in Niagara Falls where he has tallied 19 points and served last season as an Alternate Captain.
Pickering’s General Manager Sean Meyers had this to say about Campbell following the trade announcement:
“We’re excited to add Ronan to our group for the upcoming season. He’s someone our staff were very familiar with as he played minor hockey in the OMHA. He brings a ton of OJHL experience, which I think will be super valuable to our room and D core.”
