Friday, September 26 – Lindsay 5, Pickering 4
Things got off to a rough start in Lindsay as the Muskies jumped out to a 3–0 first-period lead. Jonathan Cirone got Pickering on the board early in the second, but Lindsay restored the three-goal margin to make it 4–1. Joseph Cadorin responded with a power play marker, his sixth of the season, and Ty Robar scored his first OJHL goal—also on the power play—to make it 4–3 heading into the third.
Lindsay struck again early in the final frame, and although Cadorin added his second of the game late, the Panthers fell short 5–4. Pickering outshot Lindsay 29–31. Anthony Sciere allowed three goals on 10 shots before giving way to Daniel Giusti, who stopped 19 of 21 in relief.
Saturday, September 27 – Pickering 4, Trenton 0
Back home, and missing six regulars due to injury, the Panthers turned in one of their best efforts of the season against the league-leading Trenton Golden Hawks. Josh Brady opened the scoring on a first-period power play. After a scoreless second, Pickering pulled away in the third: Landon Stevens scored his first OJHL goal, Carter Fogarty added another just over a minute later, and Cadorin sealed it with his eighth into an empty net.
Anthony Sciere was brilliant, making 42 saves for his first OJHL shutout. Final shots were 42–30 in Trenton’s favour.
Sunday, September 28 – Pickering 7, St. Michaels 6 (2OT)
The weekend wrapped up with a wild back-and-forth in Toronto. Pickering jumped out to a 2–0 lead on goals from Brady and Ryder Dagenais before St. Michael’s got one back on the power play late in the first. The Buzzers added two more early in the second, but Cayden O’Hearn tied it at three with his first OJHL goal on a power play.
The third period saw an explosion of offense: Tyler Bruce scored his first OJHL goal, Dagenais added two more for his hat trick, while St. Michael’s struck three times of their own, including a late equalizer from Campoli to send it to overtime tied 6–6. After a scoreless first OT, Carter Fogarty played hero in the second extra frame, scoring his fourth of the year to give Pickering the 7–6 win. Daniel Giusti earned his fourth victory, stopping 29 of 35 shots. Final shots were 42–35 for Pickering.
