SATURDAY SEPT 9 – HALIBURTON 4 PICKERING 3 (OT) – The Panthers took on the Haliburton Huskies in Minden and opened the scoring with a Nolan Connolly PP goal late in the first. Haliburton scored two in the second and Kieran Litterick responded for the Panthers to make it 2-2 and the end of the second. The Huskies jumped ahead in the third but Nick Athanosakos sent it into OT with the tying goal with about a minute left in regulation time. Haliburton got the winner in OT, but Pickering fought hard to gain the single point in their first game of the season. Aidan Feddema took the loss in net for the Panthers.
