The Panthers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period on goals from Landon Stevens (5th), Matt Indovina on the power play (24th), and Evan Elliott (9th). Aurora managed its lone goal of the second period, but Pickering put the game away in the third as four different Panthers found the net.
Jake Mallory scored on the power play (18th), followed by goals from Peter Smith (16th), Ty Robar (6th), and Alex Colangelo (5th) to seal the 7-2 victory. Anthony Sciere was solid in goal, turning aside 30 shots to earn his 15th win of the season.
