Panthers Shut Out 3-0 as Lindsay Creeps Closer

Not the way we wanted to start the new year! In a game that might potentially be a big factor in their playoff run, Pickering didn’t have much going on, as they lost 3-0 in Lindsay to the Muskies. It was the Cat’s first game in the past two and a half weeks and the first that included the four new players acquired one day earlier at the trade deadline.

Pickering did have their chances, but as we have seen before this season, they just could not find the net. This was the fifth time that they have been shut out in the past 20 games. Michelone was solid in net, making a number of key saves. The Muskies scored on a screen shot and a rebound in the second and then added an empty-net goal with two minutes remaining in the game.

The Panthers will hope to get their legs and bounce back on Sunday night, January 12th, as they host the Aurora Tigers in the Den at 7:30 pm.
