PICKERING, ON – The Panthers were in a very giving mood this Thanksgiving Sunday, coughing up a three-goal lead and allowing the Lindsay Muskies to complete a 5-4 comeback that snapped their nine-game losing streak.

Pickering jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first period, controlling the play and outshooting Lindsay 19-5. Gage Brandon scored twice, while Tyler Bruce continued his hot streak with his seventh goal of the season.

After that, it was all Muskies, as Lindsay scored five consecutive goals, including a shorthanded marker following a couple of Panthers giveaways, to take a 5-3 lead.

Bruce added his second of the game and eighth of the season with the extra attacker and just over a minute remaining, but that was as close as the Panthers would come.

Jacob Gibbons took the loss in net, making 26 saves.

The Panthers are back at home Friday night, October 16, at 7:30 p.m. against the Newmarket Hurricanes.
