SEPTEMBER 23, 2024 – PICKERING FALLS TO NIAGARA 7-5

This is one that got away from the Panthers as they led the Canucks 3-1 and 5-3 at the end of the first and second periods, respectively. As in several other recent losses, the third period proved to be a problem for the Panthers as Niagara Falls stormed back with four unanswered goals, including one on the power play and an empty netter. Joey Zhang (3 G, 1A), Quinn Binnie (1G, 3A) and Owen Dunning (1G, 2A) each had strong games for Pickering.

While the shot on goal were even after two periods, the Canucks outshot Pickering 13-7 in the third. Ethan Beattie took the loss in net. The Panthers play their final game at the Governor’s Showcase Tuesday at 5:00 pm versus the Mississauga Chargers .
