In a game that commemorated Remembrance Day, the Pickering Panthers faced a challenging matchup, falling 5-0 to the Trenton Golden Hawks. With the nearby Trenton Air Force Base, veterans took part in a meaningful pre-game ceremony, adding significance to the night.

This game marked Charlie Key’s return to the Panthers lineup, facing his former team for the first time since being traded to Trenton last year.

Trenton set the pace early, with Hughes opening the scoring at 6:32 of the first period, assisted by Pierce. Roach then extended the lead to 2-0 at 15:57. Pickering had several power-play opportunities but struggled to convert, going 0 for 4 with the man advantage.

In the second period, Trenton’s Artichuk scored at 16:53 to make it 3-0. The Golden Hawks kept the momentum going in the third period, with Matthews finding the back of the net at 8:20 and Artichuk adding his second goal of the night at 10:44, sealing the 5-0 victory.

Pickering’s goaltender, Ian Michelone, made 26 saves on 31 shots, while Trenton’s Sanborn delivered a flawless performance, earning his second win of the season in front of 811 fans.
