This was a strange game, but it still resulted in two points for the Panthers and another jump in the standings, as the Boys are now undefeated in their last five games. The winning goal was scored two minutes into the game, as CJ Irwin sent one towards the net. It was deflected upwards, floated over the goalie, and dropped into the net. The remainder of the game was scoreless until Owen Dunning got his 11th of the season into an empty net with one minute remaining. Frustrations boiled over in the final minute of play, with both sides sending a couple of players to the box for fighting. Ian Michelone had another strong game in net, stopping 34 shots for the shutout.

The Panthers have now gone six games without a regulation loss and have won four of their last five games. With this win, the Panthers continue to climb the standings, gaining momentum as they look ahead to their match against the Wellington Dukes.

The next game is Friday night, November 1st, at 7:30 p.m. vs. the Wellington Dukes.
