Pickering, ON – August 17, 2024 – The Pickering Panthers are set to begin their 2024 Training Camp this week at the Chestnut Hill Developments Complex, running from August 19 to August 31, 2024. The team will be without some key veterans this year, including Nick Athanasakos, who was traded late last season to the Toronto Junior Canadiens and has since aged out of the junior league. His departure leaves big skates to fill, but also opens the door for new leaders to emerge.
With a mix of returning players and fresh talent eager to prove themselves, the camp promises to be highly competitive. The coaching staff will be closely evaluating players as they build a team that upholds the Panthers’ proud tradition.
As the Panthers gear up for their season opener on September 6th, the focus will be on building chemistry and setting the tone for a successful season.
