Joe Cadorin got the Panthers rolling with his second of the season, finishing off a great pass from Carter Fogarty to make it 1–0. Just over a minute later, Jonathan Cirone converted a setup from Tyler Bruce to double the lead. Hayden Shaw added a third late in the period, giving Pickering a 3–0 advantage heading into the intermission.

The second period was highlighted by special teams. Evan Elliott scored his first OJHL goal on the power play, followed by Josh Brady adding another with the man advantage. Nicholas Wlodarczyk broke Anthony Sciere’s shutout bid midway through the period, but that was as close as Mississauga would get.

The Chargers, who have already built a reputation for undisciplined play, racked up over 100 penalty minutes in a chippy contest. Cirone, Shaw, Elliott, and Brady all notched their first OJHL goals, while Sciere was outstanding between the pipes, stopping 48 of 49 shots for his first OJHL victory.
