A hot goalie and bad breaks resulted in the second weekend loss for the Panthers, this time to the Trenton Golden Hawks. Trenton scored 0.49 seconds into both the first and the second periods and were leading 3-0 going into the third. Pickering had numerous chances in this one, but they were getting no breaks. Brady Spry was a brick wall in the Trenton net until Charlie Key finally got a PP goal six minutes into the third to break the ice. The Panthers put lots of pressure on Trenton late in the game, trying to close the gap, but an empty-net goal sealed the deal for the Golden Hawks. Ian Michelone made 31 saves for Pickering.

The Panthers will try to get back into the win column Saturday night in Oakville, and then they face the Markham Royals back home in the Den Sunday night, December 8th, at 7:30 pm.
